The Idea

The term polycentrism is understood as attitude and openness towards other cultures, opinions and ways of life.  My aim is to explore this concept focused on a few distinct areas including architecture, urban design and strategy, politics, economics, culture, and I’m sure some tangents.

While also showcasing past, present, and ongoing work of my own, I endeavor to share the work of others whom I think are relevant to a decent conversation of current design.

Lately, I’m particularly interested in the residential condition and how it is changing in terms of design, construction, use, location, and mentality.

My background and schooling in architecture and more broadly in urban studies, along with travel and reading, have given me an awareness of the world and I aim to explore and create a discussion through this blog.
